I would like to personally welcome you to The Gut Health Protocol Facebook group. This group is here for people to assist each other with their gut problems. I think you will find a lot of assistance from people who may have been through exactly what you are going through. Many of these people are well into remission or even cured. I’m the author of The Gut Health Protocol (see below), you will frequently find me answering questions in the group.

Before you close this page please read the following sections so that you have a better understanding of the group and its rules. These topics are frequently discussed, you should get familiar with them before posting.

1. Group Rules

This group exists to support the book The Gut Health Protocol and the supplement Phage Complete. Discussions regarding gut health that don’t involve this are fine, as long as they don’t conflict with the primary objective. With that in mind, here are a few rules, this is not a complete list:

  • Please note that soliciting business or personal information for commercial purposes from our members is prohibited. We especially do not tolerate soliciting (in any way) for MLM (multi level marketing) products. The words “Plexus” (and other MLM companies) and their products are not discussed here. It causes way too many problems and the motivations of the people selling the products come in question as they make money off of each sale. Because this group is based on the book, The Gut Health Protocol, you will see references and links to the book and its products.
  • Private messaging group members with information about a product you sell or make a commission from (no matter how well it does, or doesn’t work) will get you banned! Your name will also be passed on to a group of other Facebook group admins so you can be banned there as well! I encourage all group members to report this activity to me. This type of activity encourages people to leave the group, and not even join Facebook groups.
  • Do not post links knowingly that contain affiliate links, hosting giveaways, or running contests to this group.
  • All posts and links should be gut health related (sorry, no “good cause” links). Such posts will be removed without comment or bias. I’m getting a lot of complaints about discussions / questions that are not related to gut health in this group. Please take these discussion to another group.
  • The Facebook group is not the place for questions about your order, complaints, or promotion of competing products. You can send John Herron a personal message, or email me at herronj@theguthealthprotocol.com.
  • Remain respectful at ALL times. Belittling and rudeness will not be tolerated. Your goal when posting here should be the same as mine, to be helpful and to make everyone feel welcome regardless of their knowledge level on the subject being discussed.
  • This group is not here for you to hone your high school debate skills. If you don’t agree with me (the author) or the book, you are probably not in the correct group. Harassing me, or one of the other admins, will get you banned. I just don’t have time for it. You can always start your own group.
  • This group, and the book it supports, is based on science based alternative / complementary treatments. Threads that discuss treatments that either have no scientific evidence of efficacy, or (especially) have evidence that may do harm, will most likely be deleted (again, I don’t have time for debate). There are plenty of other groups out there for those discussions or you can always form your own group.
  • If you’re a health coach (even for free), ND, functional medicine doctor, etc., you should be here to learn, not to seek clients. Don’t ask people to PM you and don’t PM them. Don’t post an article that you wrote on this group, this is just a ploy to get people to contact you. We are being overrun by such spam and people are quitting because of it.
  • Please do not use “F” (etc) to follow posts. Instead, click on the 3 dots to the right of the person’s name, then click on “Turn on notifications for this post”. It does the same thing and doesn’t annoy people. We won’t ban you for it, but we will delete your “F” post.

The admins and moderators reserve the right to remove any posts or comments which may be found in violation of these policies with or without warning. You also may, or may not, get a warning before being banned from the group, depending on the severity of the violation.

2. Phage Complete - The Only Probiotic Designed For People With Gut Issues

Phage Complete BottleI have recently released a unique probiotic / prebiotic formula (Phage Complete), it is helping people where often times nothing else has. It is truly unlike any other probiotic on the market, and has been formulated based on thousands of scientific research studies I read while writing “The Gut Health Protocol”, as well as the anecdotal evidence gathered from group members. It has the potential, for most of the people reading this, to improve the health of both their small and large intestine, without the nasty side effects of most other probiotics on the market (e.g. no bloating fibers, non-histamine, non-d-lactate producing strains!)

• The price of Phage Complete can be less than 59 cents per day! •

Less than the price of really cheap gas station coffee! It also ships to many countries. If you read nothing else please read the science behind this product, it’s fascinating and educational. It comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, you have nothing to lose by giving it a try!

3. This Facebook Group is the support group for The Gut Health Protocol book

This Facebook group discusses the book of the same name, The Gut Health Protocol (now in its Second Edition!), and the new product “Phage Complete”. I am the book’s author. I want to make it clear that everyone is welcome to the group, whether they’ve purchased anything or not, and you can learn a whole lot in this group without purchasing anything, especially if you ask the right questions. However, I wrote the book in large part because it saves me a WHOLE lot of time answering questions and it covers the information far better than I could ever do in a Facebook group. This way I don’t have tell everyone the same things over and over again. So if you see me referencing the book in response to questions, that is why.

Besides my narrative, the book contains abstracts and end-notes to over 1,200 scientific studies so you understand the “why” behind each recommendation, and know that there is scientific evidence to back these recommendations. I think the price of the book is a steal compared to the cost of medications, doctor’s visits (usually far less than the cost of one co-payment), wasted supplements and all of the time it will save you trying to research this information yourself. This protocol is also much milder on your gut, and its microbiome, than prescription drugs and other natural methods; it can also be more effective. I am NOT against modern medicine, I recommend what works the best, with the fewest risks, and is backed up by science. If you doubt me I encourage you to read the “Verified Purchase” reviews on Amazon, read the testimonials (linked below) or ask the group (now numbering over 12,000 people) what they think. Or you can read just a few of the daily testimonials the book gets at https://www.theguthealthprotocol.com/wp/testimonials/ as well as the reviews on the book’s Amazon page.

The Gut Health Protocol paperback, and Kindle version, are available on Amazon at https://amzn.to/1In02ue or for International customers you can search your nearest Amazon for “The Gut Health Protocol” (or see below for more options). Currently, if you purchase the paperback book on Amazon.com you can purchase the Kindle version for $1.99 (you have to buy the paperback book first, this will change the Kindle price available to you). This will allow you to reference the book on your computer, tablet or smartphone, as well as have a paperback to highlight, dogear, share, etc. No Kindle device required.

For other paperback (including international) and eBook ordering options (Apple, Kindle, Nook, etc). Most of the eBook formats (including Amazon Kindle) have apps that allow you to read them on your desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. Click here for other formats and International ordering information.

The book’s website is at https://www.theguthealthprotocol.com/ and contains a shortened version of the protocol, the “Avoid” / “Allowed” food list from Appendix Q, a few of the recipes from the book, as well as updates and articles not included in the book. A very good starting point if you want to do more research before purchasing the book or to begin on your own.

There is also a companion Amazon store featuring the supplements listed in the book (Prime Shipping accepted, checkout is through Amazon). If you can find better prices elsewhere, then by all means save some money and purchase there (no one wants to spend more money on supplements than they have to!) The store is organized by chapter and makes a great companion to the book when hunting down the supplements you need.

I wrote this book, and formed this group, after suffering myself for many years, dozens of doctor visits / treatments, and finally having to find solutions on my own. I myself am not a doctor, my job in all of this is to find those scientists / doctors / specialists who are subject matter experts and convert this knowledge into plain English. I call it meta research (researching research). But I have also tried nearly all of the herbs and supplements mentioned in the book, and many more. Only those that pass scientific muster, have a lot of anecdotal evidence, and I feel work, made the cut. The protocol is about much more than supplements.

If you read the book I would very much appreciate it if you review it on Amazon, GoodReads, and/or where you purchased it from, especially if you feel the protocol has helped you get better. These reviews show people that the book won’t simply be a further waste of time and money in their own hunt for solutions to their gut health issues (I have personally spoke to people that have spent 10s of thousands of dollars desperately trying to get better!) I myself spend a lot of my time helping others at no cost (I currently don’t offer paid consultations), this can be your way of helping others get well.

I went through hell in my recovery, as have many people in this group. Please don’t feel you will go unheard here, there are probably people that have experienced just what you’re going through.

I hope you enjoy our group and I wish you the best of health!
